What's your role at Euro 2008?
I'll be hosting Football Focus every Saturday, presenting World Focus, which is a special show for people watching right across the globe, and hopefully getting involved in the parties in the fan parks across Vienna! I really love the unique buzz and excitement that comes from being at the heart of a big tournament and my challenge to myself is to make sure the atmosphere is conveyed to you guys here online and also on TV.

Favourite team?
The family enclosure at Carrow Road holds special memories for me...a Trio bar, a bag of Salt and Vinegar crisps and a Capri Sun on a sunny Norfolk Saturday whilst my unbroken voice did it's (not so) level best to add to the atmosphere.

Favourite player?
That's tricky...I think I'd go for the player who gave me the greatest happiness and that would be thanks to his strike against Bayern Munich, 20th October 1993...I can't believe that was almost 15 years ago!! I know us Norwich fans talk about that game a lot, but it's either that or we'd dine out on our 1985 Milk Cup Final victory. Beggars can't be choosers, you know!

Ideal sporting dinner guest?
I'd love to know what goes through the mind of someone like or when sailing the world alone. Just how do you cope for all that time with huge, petrifying seas and the fear of loneliness? Then, after all that, you've got to adapt to life back on solid ground. Two people with remarkable abilities and brilliant stories, I have no doubt.

Best bit of advice you've received?
"Think before you speak." I still struggle with that on a daily basis, I'm afraid!

Tell us something the public might not know about you...
That I once represented competition! OK, it was for a TV show and I didn't exactly win gold, but I was brave enough to tackle a big air and a downhill slalom in Andorra one VERY icy winter and against far superior riders. I'm still proud of that one!

Disappointed the Home Nations didn't make it to Euro 2008?
Of course. However, I'm one of life's optimists. will win the Championship next season, my lottery win really is just around the corner, and three weeks with the wife/girlfriend/team-mates in Dubai/Ibiza/Florida this summer should make our players hungrier, stronger and more driven in the coming years. As for this tournament, with less focus on our own teams we can do justice to those teams that were good enough to qualify and spend more time conveying the 'flavour' of the tournament and the stories emerging from across Austria and Switzerland. It's a shame, but we'll all do our best to make a virtue out of it.

Will there be another surprise winner?
I think would pretty much qualify as a surprise winner. Quite how a nation that regularly produces some of the world's most gifted players falls short time after time at major tournaments amazes me. They've got Cesc Fabregas, who I'd make the next Arsenal captain, and Fernando Torres at his ruthless best, so yes a potential surprise winner...Spain.

Which player will take the tournament by storm?
Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly the world's greatest player and, exhaustion permitting, I'm expecting him to be player of the tournament. Boring answer I know, but he's so good you can't look beyond him. I think you'll do well to find a more confident player this summer.

Finally, how many goals will be scored at Euro 2008?
2.5 per game = 77.5 which is an unlikely figure, so I'll be optimistic (again!) and say 78.
