Vienna
I'm sat in front of my computer poised to write about Austria's valiant but ultimately fruitless performance against Croatia and I can't get two images out of my mind.
And they had nothing to do with the game.
The first is the huge thighs of Davor Suker. The second is the enormous calves of a female Austrian fan walking away from the Ernst Happel Stadium after Sunday's 1-0 defeat.
Look, the match wasn't a bad one and served up one or two memorable moments. The co-hosts showed plenty of fight, too, almost grabbing an equaliser and certainly avoiding the kind of hiding that . Of course, with games against Germany and Poland to come, Josef Hickersberger's team are not quite out of the woods yet, but there is cause for optimism.
Anyway, I caught sight of Suker as I headed for the exits. I was going to thank him - rather belatedly - for winning me some money a decade ago. I'd picked him to win the at the 1998 World Cup - and he duly obliged, netting six times in seven games as Croatia reached the semi-finals. But as he was talking on his mobile phone, I left him alone, though not before noticing his bulging quadriceps.
At 40, Suker still looks in great shape. I wonder if Slaven Bilic, his former international team-mate, had thought about tempting him out of retirement following the injury to Eduardo? Croatia could do with a cutting edge upfront if their travails against the Austrian are anything to go by.
As for that Austrian woman, she must be a professional cyclist. Her legs simply weren't natural. I'd show you a photo of them if I'd had the nerve to get my camera out, but I'd have probably been arrested on the spot.
Still, I've got a few images I'd like you to look at. Big tournaments like this always provide great fodder for the photographic agencies - and Euro 2008 is no exception.

Finally, can anyone tell me what Mathieu Flamini and Patrick Vieira might be saying to each other? (Credit: Getty Images)
