In my experience the types of people who have second homes are not going to be significantly bothered about a 10% increase, but increasing the rate does make monitoring them more difficult, as the only legal reason to declare a second home is for this reduction, it is not a crime to own more than one home as a few of those from the more remote parts of Cornish society think, again as for the fruity idea of increasing the rate beyond 100%, would actually see them declare the Cornish second home as there first homes, these are not stupid people

Like most ideas based around second home owners, people are not thinking things through and just want to spite the invading forces by any means possible, overlooking this invading force is the majority, not that I like this and it is only going to get worse given the ruling on Carolyn bay by the same council, who are the council kidding. IF they cared Carolyn bay would be given back to the people of Cornwall
