Good news for HipHop?

I'm a HUGE Nas fan and also a HUGE Jigga fan and was over the moon when I heard that they'd buried the beef and Nas had signed to Def Jam...BUT

Fabolous has got a freestyle out where he namechecks all the forthcoming Def Jam releases at the end of it. Apart from the notable omission of Redman's album (when the ffff is that coming out? Is it?) he mentions that in November not only are we getting "HipHop Is Dead" from Nas, but also, Jigga is releasing another album.

Here comes the dilemma - both should be amazing albums, exactly what the game needs and you know I'm gonna be buying both albums on both formats (as I have done every Nas and Jigga album in the past...Even Nastradamus!) but won't both albums in the same month be overkill? Is Jigga just trying to kill the Nas buzz? Why can't they just do an album together produced by Primo, Just Blaze, Kanye and Timbo?

What do you think?

**1Xtra Plug alert** check Jay-Z on tour, supported by 1Xtra - I'll be deejaying at the Birmingham gig...HOLLA!)

By the way, brapples to for the image and for jacking it first!

    jay-z's lips > nas

(btw... that's a "joke"... > is greater than, as in larger.. i'm not being h*mo and saying i like jigga's lips).

i think nas' will probably be one of his best yet, but i don't know about a jigga album. dude has my favourite catalogue, so i really hope he doesn't spoil it. no more cocker spaniel neptune's beats thank you, save timbo for heavy club tracks for rappers who can't rap, and "loosens jansport* (it's actually a timbaland bag, gots to stay fresh) BRING BACK IRV GOTTI!!!! i don't know if jay has the commitment to make a classic though, the new track with beyonce is almost just laughing at how lazy he can be and people will still eat it up. and you've heard the black album, remember the buchannans track? what else has he got to say?

as far as them being in the same month, why not (from a fan's perspective)? if they're both heavy and two weeks apart, perfect. by the time i've rinsed and got bored of one, i'll pick up the next....

I dont trust this jigga dude,he might just be trying to ridicule NAS,say for instance his(nas) album doesnt hit major heights compared to Jigga's. In the end he might get dropped and later diss records will b on the spin.

Its a battle of minds i think coz Nas is no slouch as well but what worries me is the Public reaction! Dudes like Jigga cos he is a baller

What a lot of people fail to realize is that we are dealing with two very intelligent individuals. If you analyze the moves being made, you would come to a conclusion that releasing these albums so close together they can almost cross-advertise the two album together for better promotions. Both rappers appear on each other's albums with almost identical producers. Let's not forget that The Game is eyeing that same release date Nas has(with those two appearing on each other's album also). I believe this is a business move, it has nothing to do with who's sonnin' who or the classic battle. You can expect to see a "Kings' Tour" with both mc's on one stage selling out venues all over the world!! I have been waiting for this since '98.
