Will you still need me, when I'm 64?

I ought to wish happy birthday to Lord Ashcroft, who is 64 today.

And no doubt amidst all the controversy over his tax status and over why he kept William Hague in the dark for 10 years, he may well be asking David Cameron: "Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?"

    Surely the question should be will Lord Ashcroft be feeding Mr.Cameron when he is 64?

    Can you find out if Lord Ashcroft gets a free bus ticket or not? This is a very important consitutional matter of great significance.

    A great man passed away yesterday, he refused to join the Lords as he said I have been against it all my life so why would I join them now which is noble enough but just think of all the men of the left who, for years said it should be abolished then trooped in to it's hallowed halls leaving their prejudices...and their principles at the door, not Michael Foot, Benn or Skinner, I could name them and we all know who they are but I don't wish to incur the wrath of the moderator...I have been suitably chastised....

    The Noble Lord has already put the requisite money into the marginal constituencies, so even if he is forced to 'turn the tap off' now, he has achieved what he set out to do. In any case, Labour has no credibility in this spurious argument and should concentrate their time on repairing the UK's shattered economy, rather than point scoring over this irrelevant issue...
