A chance for Lib Dems to replenish election coffers?
Ladbrokes are now offering odds of 3-1 on somebody saying the words "bigoted woman" in tomorrow night's TV debate. Earlier today their odds were 16-1.
I can't imagine Gordon Brown will want to use the phrase again, but surely there's an ideal chance here for the Lib Dems to replenish their election coffers.
The party should put as much money as they can on a Ladbrokes bet, and then get Nick Clegg to say to the first female questioner tomorrow: "I'm sure you're not a bigoted woman."
Or perhaps they've already placed such a bet. Which may explain why the odds have dropped so much.

Having such a market on what polititians will say relies on 2 things
1) THE POLITICIANS BEING HONEST
2) THE POLITICIANS AN THEIR AIDS BEING SO VIRTUOUS THAT THEY NEVER READ ANY GAMBLING WEB SITE (IF THEY DID THEY COULD ALSO SUBCONSCIOUSLY SUBVERT THE RESULT OR GIVE THE NOD TO A MATE THAT 'ELVIS' AT 10 TO 1 MAY FEATURE IN ONE OF CAMERONS ANECDOTES).
The onlt thing I can conclude from that is that the executives at ladbrokes never read or watch news of any kind.
OR
This is the modern equivalent of the last days of the roman empire.
anyway, most of the markets i bet on are closed now.
Nick clegg winning the last debate for clean sweep at 7/4 looks attractive now though, the popular perception is cameron won the last one (he dident i know because i got paid out) and Cameron is favourite beause of that, but clegg is more likey to benefit from GB's gaff than cameron.
fill your boots everyone (again)
This election is soooo much more fun than the last one!!!
just remember to follow the golden rules, unlike bankers, only bet your own money and only bet what you can afford to lose because the sucker known as the tax payer only bails out irresponsible bankers.
How unbelievable the above would be.. if it were not also true!!!
and be warned, I am bound to get one of these wrong soon, but 100% record thus far.

Is it me or have the parties not spent publicly as much as in previous years on there campaigns?
I don't recall a leaflet though the door this time around, sorry I have just looked and the BNP put one through.
As a further thought maybe Alan Johnston has placed a bet to fund his leadership campaign?????????

Moving on...
Not sure having certain humans negotiating with counterparts locally, nationally or internationally - who have (mostly) long since realised that is a trait careers and electorates can ill afford - is all its cracked up to be, defence wise.
'Vladimir, when that Nokia hit that button, well, I was just mortified. MORTIFIED! Sorry about Kiev - maybe it's not all bad; I think it was an opposition stronghold, so really I was just saving you the bother'
I knew we'd soon get the next in line after 'unacceptable and 'appalling' got tired.
