A beautiful drive through a big constituency

Michael Crick | 17:45 UK time, Wednesday, 5 May 2010

One forgets sometimes just how big some constituencies are. We are driving directly from Newtown in mid Wales to David Cameron's final rally in Bristol tonight. A beautiful drive.

More than an hour ago we first passed posters for Roger Williams, the defending Lib Dem MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, and his Conservative opponent Suzy Davies. And after more than an hour's drive we are still passing their posters!

Goodness knows how they ever afford to print and distribute them.

We drive longer than that to get the daily newspaper !!!

  • Comment number 2.

On the drive south to Hemel Hempstead the other day I noticed that the slogan `BNP' had been scrawled across Conservative posters.

Then I saw a rather amusing sign fixed beside one such defaced poster it said words to the effect `Dear BNP, please can you write on your own posters.'

I though that a rather good riposte.

I doubt if it was the BNP who scrawled on the posters as the letters were too legible.
