lwestmoreland.jpgMeet , a Republican Congressman representing Georgia's 8th District. He has campaigned for the Ten Commandments to be placed in courthouses, schools and other public buildings across the United States -- a major flashpoint in America's culture wars. Foolishly, as it turns out, the congressman agreed to be interviewed by on the Comedy Central channel. The interview, which you can watch , is painfully funny. And the moral of the tale is this: Thou Shalt Not Campaign For A List of Commandments Thou Can't Remember.

Ach Du lieber Schreck! I was driving through N'ards yesterday and saw a larger than life picture of Will N. Testament in his toy box. Goodness sakes, it was taking me forever to get over seeing scantily clad models draped over cars and now this! (I know this has nothing to do with that poor American Senator and his 10 commandments, but I had to say something...)

The Congressman could at least have remembered that Jesus emphasised that the two crucial Commandments related to the worship of God with all one's
mind, heart, and soul, and to loving one's neighbour as oneself, on which he added hang all the Law and the Prophets.

I also want to add that here in Miami, one of my relatives made more comments about Zidane's Head Butting. Even MSNBC [A US Station] revealed about Video Games based on the head butting.

Don't you think he is more interested in promoting his religious credentials to his potential voters than actually promoting Christianity? - and don't forget most of the commandments pre-date the bible!

I see that Slugger o'Toole has picked up on Will's links here to the congressman with egg on his face, and the comments there are hilarious. need to see more of this guy. Let's start an internet campaign to get him elected to the White House in 2008.

Jeff- Yes, unfortunately he could be better than both of the presidential candidates most likely for '08 - Arizona Senator John McCain (please no) and Hilary Rodham Clinton (over America's dead body).
