The logic of the UDA
Following the UDA show of strength on , I talked today, on Talk Back, to Frankie Gallagher of the Ulster Protestant Research Group, who read a statement to the press at Saturday's rally on behalf of the "inner council" of the UDA. Frankie Gallagher prefered to describe the gathering as a "show of solidarity" and told me that Northern Ireland needs the UDA in order to deal with paramilitary criminality.
I put it to him that much of the criminality he was talking about is being carried out by members of the UDA. He agreed. So, according to this logic, our community needs the UDA in order to deal with criminality that comes from the UDA.
One listener texted in to ask, "If the UDA is for the good of the general public, why do they hide their faces behind masks?"

Great article.
Great program
Right now in Miami Florida, focus has shifted from the Middle East to Cuba where it is rumored [and also broadcast on Radio Habana Cuba] that Castro delegated almost all of his powers to his brother Raul Castro. More soon.
Am I the only one failing to see the link between loyalist paramilitaries and Castro's Cuba?
I wanted to respond to Drew Smyth. I was in the page of Will and Testament when the news about Cuba broke out.
I immediately sent the news to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ in Northern Ireland just in case there were anyone from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ or Northern Ireland in Cuba as tourists. [I always like wanting to help people.]
