A bit naughty William.
Prospect actually polled a number of figures : Andrew Brown found the God Delusion doughy and monothemed, and so nominated the Dawkins volume "most overrated". I havn't read it yet so the criticism could be fair but makes interesting reading here:
I notice Andrew Brown's colleague on the Prospect panel, writer Duncan Fallowell cited The Bible and The Koran amongst his most overrated.
Still, a nice opening gambit Mr Crawley.
More creation wars? Seconds away...
Richard Dawkins is a remarkable evolutionary biologist who writes with unusual verve, but he operates sweepingly in matters outside his domain.
Dawkins is delusional himself with it comes to some of these matters. Over-hyped book. Not his best. He's a great scientist and I loved books such as The Selfish Gene, but this one is rubbish.
Im glad someone said it. Dawkins is massively overrated. Rude, too. He's onto his third wife. Must be impossible to live with.
