Troopergate: The Report

Post categories:

William Crawley | 18:22 UK time, Saturday, 11 October 2008

Did Sarah Palin use her powers as governor of Alaska to try to have a former family member removed from his position as a state trooper? It's called , and the investigation into those alleged abuses of power has

Money quote:

"Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110 (a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."

Read the entire report . I'll be talking to Cal Thomas tomorrow about the likely impact of the Troopergate findings.

Five out of the last ten threads have been about Sarah Palin. At what point do we call it an obsession?

Maybe the Republicans don't want to get elected for a third term. Hence McCain's choice of running mate ?

Given the current world financial crises the next President is surely going to have to clear up a momentous mess in corperate America. That is the only logical reason as to why, in my opinion, McCain picked Palin as his running mate. Even Huckabee would have been a better choice.

This brings up an interesting question. Who will Bill and Hillary vote for, who do they want to see win? Given that we know the next Pesidency will likely be a terrible failure because it will face a myriad of problems each of which seems insurmountable by itself, utterly hopeless in combination, what gives them the best chance to put Hillary in the Oval Office in 2012? My guess is that they'd prefer McCain. The election of Obama in combination with a Democratic Congress will likely bring the wrath of the voters down on them by 2010, 2011 at the latest.

I posted here last year that I didn't think Obama would become president. Well I was wrong. At the moment, the stars favor his ascendency. Jupiter rising in Capricorn and the conjunction of Saturn and Venus put him in the White House next January but he'd better beware of Mercury in the house of Pegasus. He's in for the worst ride of his life and we sit helplessly in the passenger seat beside him headed for a crash. Dow 1000 anyone? Better sell now and move to Australia while you still can get something for those stocks. 401K? Whose got a 401K?

    Marcus --

I think I was the first person to suggest that I may be a little obsessed with the Palin nomination! Point taken ...

Or you could in fairness (not something you seem capable of when it comes to Governor Palin, William) have this as the money quote:

"Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads."

One thing we do know, she never molested the staff, lied about it on TV or got impeached - but then she's a Republican, not a democrat.

She's an attractive woman with an assault rifle and the potential to develop first strike capacity. What's not to get obsessed about?

Okay, attractive relative to Pelosi and Hilary C. But still, if you like US politics, she does brighten up the look of the place.

You're right in one sense Graham. She's an atractive woman for her age.

However, she's a complete bimbo. I've watched here perform on a few interviews and she just hasn't got a clue. She even makes some of our politicians look intelligent. If you don't believe me Graham then have a look at this video by Youtuber Thunderf00t:

who's series "why do people lauigh at creationists really is excellent.

The thought of this women ever becoming president of the United States surely must set alarm bells ringing in any right thinking person. It's a scary thought, in my opinion. William has every right to be obsessed.
