As the only female entrant in this year's North West 200, Maria Costello already stands out from the crowd. She also has the distinction of receiving an MBE in 2009 for services to motorcycling.

Maria became the first woman solo racer to finish in the podium places at the Isle of Man TT in 2006 and will be targeting a similar achievement at the NW200 this year.
