Oh, Lissa, can I please come and visit? As you'll have seen from previous entries, I LOVE snow, and we never get it down here these days (sob).
Hope Mr. Knibbs is enjoying the white stuff!
Lissa, have you built your Eddie-inspired snowman?
Oooh it looks lovely. Happy new home Lissa.
Snowing Eric? You don't say...
Brrrr.
I remember that white stuff, back in my youth when we had real winters. Not this modern pretend stuff....
Great Photos Lissa.
Nice view, innit?
oh dear
"he's fallen in da water"
Glorious photo, glorious place ... here in my basement office I feel quite jealous! You obviously made the right move, Lissa, and we hope you, SO and Mr Knibbs are all very happy and getting nicely settled in.
btw hope your heating system's working!
Again btw - where has our new blog prince (above, to the right, top left photo) got to? Has anyone heard from him lately or seen him on the beach or down the pub?
He can't just ignore us, you know. We might rebel.
Oo, that's luverly! Er, we seem to have avoided the snow up here so far (I imagine that could be a "big mouth" moment). Bit chilly, though.
I'm just wondering if that picture would look better with a couple of "angels" in the snow in the foreground - what do you think, Lissa?
Eddie - That lovely photo Lissa's taken would look great framed and hung up on the wall in The Furrowed Brow.
I'll add my voice to yours, Sara. Perhaps Marc is feeling that Lissa is a hard act to follow? But, dear Frog Prince, we have already shown you that we're very happy to frolic with you on the lilypads, so please don't hide.
Ah, methinks I saw a few bubbles from under the lilypad to the left of me. Could that be he?
Eddie: Can you help tempt him out of the water?
Fine, fine, fine...
(Shut up Eccles!)
Lovely photo, Lissa. Hope you'll be happy in your new home. We still haven't had any snow here in Staffordshire.
Big Sister and Sarah, Marc made a lovely farewell speech to Lissa last week, but I can't remember which thread it was on.
Your photo has conjured up the snow here at last in East Lothian Lissa! As I write, it's beginning to drift past the window.
It really is gorgeous but very cold. Mr Knibbs is house-bound for another few weeks but seems content with life on various window ledges at the moment. That photo seems to have come out a bit blurry (Marc - is that my bad photography?).
I had to hold back from launching into the consumer services thread yesterday. I make so many complaints about things. My all-time favourite was when Southwark Council mistakenly knocked down our front door, then changed the locks. They let us know by posting a note with no contact number through the door. Then they tried to tell me to calm down.
Off to try the new telly aerial. Back to 4 terrestrial channels.
Gillian: Yes I saw the speech (it was, I think, the thread on the day of Lissa's leaving do, which was Thursday, from memory ...), but it was a fleeting moment, and more to do with Lissa.
Marc, I keep seeing those bubbles. You can run but you can't hide.
Big Sister(16) Yes, but it was beautifully done....such an accomplished use of language, and display of gentle humour, with an innate sensibility of his audience.....
(*whispers* Big Sister, let's see if we can tease Marc out with flattery!)
I'm so jealous Lissa! You've found a beautiful spot. My cat would hate the snow though. He won't step in it at all.
Mary
Gillian: Couldn't agree more. Marc is clearly very talented. It's such a pity he's so shy though. Please, Frog Prince, if we promise not to try to kiss you, will you grace us with your delightful presence?
Lissa, it looks gorgeous! Thanks for posting.
Did I spot count Jim "Thighs" Moriarty, owner of a large bent wooden object with a sort of lump on the end, one cover for same, one same; lurking in the background?
Lissa, I too only have 4 TV channels and I can always find some sh**e to watch if I really want to. It makes life so much less stressful -- who needs all that choice? (Listening to Eric is, of course, highly preferable to watching any TV programme that doesn't have him in it...)
