Oh dear me Eric.
Apropos of today's strapline, I'll have Salt & Vinegar please. To my home address rather than the office -- I'm going to head off at about 6 o'clock, so around 7 would be ideal.
Pictures on the radio.
It'll never work.
:oD

The moderators may have a problem with this - I've tried to post on the Beach and on the last thread. And the reference to the audio ..... Well, the link's on the last thread.
(Why do they do this to us?)
A little something to share with the regular froggers.
A few days ago I contacted BH to see if Paddy would like to comment on the circumstances of his encounter with Eddie, the subject of what, for me, is the best clip on the Blog (see audio file). Today I heard from Paddy himself, who gamely gave me the following insight into the occasion. I've checked with him and he's happy for me to share with the Blog:
Paddy says:
Basically I have a problem with Eddie Mair. He makes me smile, and frequently, laugh. The prospect of sitting in a room with him to record something tests my nerve. When doing these things live, some element of professionalism in me seems to kick in.
But at one point, in order to make it better for me, he lowered his head beneath his computer screen, so that I could not see him. This just made it worse.
If you are writing from some part of the wider world that is looking for blame, then it's mine, and mine alone!
Warm wishes,
Paddy O'Connell Presenter, Broadcasting House
Have you tried the newsletter? It's better than spam.
[Love the end bit btw - This man's got the kind of humour I go for!]
Yes, Chairman Mair, I imagine there's been an avalanche!
Big Sister, you have all my admiration.
I have posted a lovely picture of snow in Birmingham on my blog. Feel free to click on my name! So I'm snowed under too!
Mary
It's a lovely pic Mary :-)
Incidentally, Eddie, just what kind of problem does Paddy have with you? And do you make a habit of hiding?
Beautiful photo, Madmary
Thanks! And thanks to jonnie and RJD for posting on my blog!
I've let it drift (get it?) for a while as I'm incredibly busy at the moment. I must make some time for thought!

Radio with pictures = great! but I'm getting dizzy trying to keep track of all the threads - 8 today I think. Is this a record?
Could we not have a picture posting area where Eddie can deposit these delights and just have one thread which points to them?
Appy(1) - Did the the delivery man come?
Oh great RJD, someone else posting nonsense tonight :o)
Anne P - wasn't the record-breaking number of threads that time when they were listening to a re-run of Returns after the General Election in (fill in the date someone whose brain is still switched on and not full of marmalade please, see elsewhere for explanation), when he posted a thread for every seat announced? Oh I dunno, it was something along those lines anyway.
I suspect I see a 502 lurching round the corner...
RJD (12), Of course, It's all down to this special little trick I know.
Well we finally seem to be flowing fine on THIS site.
Our Blog Prince sent this through to the 'spin-off site :-
The New Blog Prince aka Marc @ Thu, 08 Feb 2007 21:59:40 GMT: --------------------------------------------------
I'm very glad to read what Gem Stone has written on the main blog, which seems to have gone some way to assuaging the anger/annoyance of all you lovely froggers. I wish I'd been able to explain the issues as cogently and coherently as he has done: frankly though, being a humble journo, and not a fully-fledged techie, I was never going to understand either the minutiae of the problems or the bigger picture of where the PMBlog fits in to the scheme of things. I shall just try to keep the blog ticking over as best as I can - the next two weeks notwithstanding, what with me being off to China and all...--------------END---------------------------
I would also like to thank Jem for his honesty and clarification of the current comments.
Big 'Cheers' to Marc also, who helps keep the 'more important' Radio 4 audio output streaming to us all.
Now you can all wish me a Happy 47th as I've been battling all evening trying to migrate the woyw files into a proper folder to make way for the PM Froggers Dog pics -- organised by who else but Big Sister! -- who seems to be focussing her attentions on Paddy rather than eddie at the moment!
Night all!
Appy - Naughty Corner. Watch out for RJD though, apparently he has a few tricks of his own?
Appy
That's more subtle than I thought you would be when I asked the question.
Val (16) - I don't believe my own publicity - you shouldn't either!
Well come on RJD -- you can't dangle them in front of me and expect me not to bite.
Oh dear. Have I to go back to the naughty corner Valery?
Happy Friday, btw.
Oh dear, Appy. I had thought of saying "I'll throw them up in the air and you can hit them" - but that wouldn't have been much better would it?
What's the record for a stay in the naughty corner?
happy Birthday Jonnie!! GMx
Happy Birthday Jonnie!
That strapline has appeared rather regularly, methinks. Clearly a favourite with the PM Team.
And today's a special day for our very own Jonnie. I hear he's not going to get much of an opportunity to enjoy it, so let's make the Blog a wildly silly place today, folks.
It being Friday, too.
Appy & RJD, I have no words... *walks quietly away shaking head sadly* :-p
So, what do we reckon will be the theme for the first thread that Eddie'll post today? My guess is more photos from yesterday...
Re: gossipmistress, Thank you !
BTW,
I still haven't received your woyw photo. The second e-mail came through but no pic ?
Perhaps your e-mail client is blocking it ?
I was going to ask Appy if her special little trick had something to do with her tongue, because RJD's tricks seem to, but I don't think that I should. Oh dear. At this rate we are going to need more than one naughty corner!
H.
Humph - we have four corners to fill. I had to tactfully withdraw from the convo last night, as it was all getting too much!
Happy Friday to you too Appy - I did post something about Fridays last night, but it hasn't appeared (mercifully!).
Snowballs!
Val - That's not quite true now, is it? You didn't tactfully withdraw - you fell asleep in your marmalade!
Jonnie - how are you celebrating?
Pic got bounced back again by the postman - I even turned flipping Norton off again. I don't have much luck with photos!
Humph, your name is being taken in vain on an earlier thread!!!
A, x.
Appy - Big snitch/grass/tattle-tale (or here in NI - tout!)
Humph - She's grassin' me up! (on the Made It In thread)
I have protective feelings towards Humph; I just can't help it.
Enough with the doubles-entendres!
My sides won't take much more before they split.
Which would be unpleasant for those not used to seeing a woman sprawling in her exploded underwear, gasping for breath between giggles, attempting to protest that nothing rude has actually been said...
