Yvonne sends these from last night's report from France: This
is "the Front National regional council president Patrick Binder under a poster depicting French politicians as liars. He told us Le Pen - who is polling more now than he was at the same point in the 2002 campaign - is seen by lots of French people as an antidote to the elite French political classes".

is a "detail from Strasbourg's cathedral" and the picture below shows "Yvonne tickling a gargoyle"
Meanwhile, Hugh sent these two through yesterday afternoon (he'll be on the programme tonight live from Shanghai) - "For smog-lovers everywhere - Shanghai on Thursday morning, fog, smog, rain, the works. To reduce the gloom, the second pic is of the same view early in the morning on Monday. Heard the first burst of New Year firecrachers this evening - and New Year's Eve isn't until NEXT Saturday."

Argh! the smog! I feel like I can't breathe just looking at those photos.
The Gargoyle doesn't seem to pleased about it ;-)
By the way, anyone seen Lady Pen lately (even a second outing of her strapline does not seem to have brought a response).

Isn't it a long way from Bergerac to Strasbourg? Wouldn't it make more sense to make shorter journeys around France? Has Yvonne got a route planned? I think we should be told.

Once again I notice that you appear to have a vacancy for a half-decent proof-reader. May I be the first in the queue of similarly qualified froggers to offer my services - voluntary services if required, re cutbacks, licence fee shortfall etc? I suggest you just lob them through the ether, I'll give them a quick once over and lob them back before you post.

Before I scrolled down, I thought this was Yvonne and Hugh. I thought they must have both returned to the office. Sorry, Hugh, I don't mean to malign you. I think we should have a photo of Hugh please, to prevent gross errors like this.

Monk will be on ´óÏó´«Ã½2 soon. I love that show. And Randy Newman singing It's a Jungle Out There; my SO actually sings along with it, with the most delightfully boyish grin.
