Another Blog exclusive coming soon
and this is a first.
You'll be able to hear here, a piece which will be broadcast in tonight's programme.
"More than 50 British troops have died in Afghanistan since their deployment, but nearly a hundred have also been wounded in battle. The medics based at Camp Bastion in Helmand have to pick up the injured, bring them back and treat them…whether they're British troops, Afghan forces or even Taleban fighters. Alistair Leithead joined the Immediate Response medical Team and sent this exclusive report"...it will follow soon
I'm looking forward to hearing this report. It's the sort of thing that I think needs highlighting more...
I have just listened to your report on the taking of our troops by the Iranian government which spiralled into an attack of women troops in our armed forces by a British Colonel. He suggested that 'most men' ( I wonder who made him the spokesman for the whole of the male population) have a problem with females in the armed forces and think of them not as equal but as "very special." He should get a grip, if he can't handle seeing women killed in action I suggest that he should find a new job. Perhaps in a florists, that's if he could handle seeing the poor wee flowers cut down in their prime.
Perhaps he reckons women should only be subject to 'unintended' killing as 'collateral damage'?
