Well, all I can say is that this is a good idea.
A tad stilted-sounding perhaps but first-night nerves are the hallmark of talent, n'est-ce pas?
Great idea - why am I feeling slightly embarrassed for both of you?
Sounds like a Paddy trail for BH.
It will always be that bad. Trust me.
A great idea. Nice to hear where the stories are springing up from too.
You do know, though, that Aperitif will swoon when she hears Eddie's annunciation of the phrase "leg work"...
Can I please make a complaint about the email newsletters that PM sends me.
They are far far too funny. I get looks in the office you see. People wonder why I'm rolling around on the floor laughing.
Rupert,
No need to apologise. It's an excellent idea and a lot speedier delivery than the newsletter!
Enjoy your lunch, now.
You both sounded to me to be doing the Jimmy Young and Terry Wogan hand-over from the good old days. Say no more, say no more.
Gah!
They're still leading with the turbulence in a thimble!
A story about a triple murder and one about manslaughter were lower down the running order....
You bet it's malicious!
Am jealous - at work, no speakers. Its like walking in to a room after a particularly good punchline has been delivered but no one will repeat the joke :(
Moz - I was just laughing out loud on reading it - and received a strange look.
AM on PM
or could be
RA and EM on PM
or perhaps just
RA on PM
This was a great idea.
At the risk of invoking the sports commentator's jinx, may I congratulate Marc and colleagues on the frog's leaping responses today!
xx
ed
Except for the malice detector, of course! It's far too ready to leap, as always. I'll just go and my malice footprint...
Great stuff! Thanks, Eddie.
for the newsletter Thanks also - Rupert was it the Editor?
On the subject of Paddy, Eddie, you might like to ask him about a little email that went astray - ROFL!
I don't have sound on my computer at work. By the time I hear this the programme will be over!
Mary
I loved the newsletter & the audio clip today. Cheered me up after an hour spent "encouraging " Miss Pooh Bear to do some sightreading as practice for tomorrow's grade 3 piano exam. It involved an awful lot of tears & shouting. (Not me, though I certainly felt like it).
What a relief to know that all is so civilised in the PM office so far. An oasis of calm in a mad world (?)
Now there's just the little matter of our flute & harp "shopper's recital" in Buxton this afternoon. Tried to decide on a programme before the trauma with mpb this morning. Do you think they'll like "El Condor Pasa" & "He aint heavy he's my Brother"? cos I hope so. I mean, we could do all serious classical stuff, but, hey, it's raining, I'm on the edge of a sightreading-induced nervous breakdown, & we've got the opera (that's the one with the defecating sparrows btw) to play straight afterwards. I'm thinking popular here.
We've decided to display the CD's to sell (you know the one...) on our ironing board. Why not ?
It folds up, & it's certainly different.
Got to rush. Best of luck for the programme. Going to miss it yet again because of the opera, but I just know you'll all be brilliant. Especially now Rupert's back. I mean, what could possibly go wrong now?
Oh dear! Thank goodness for Eddie and PM.
Here is a small clip of the breakfast show from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Humberside. It's been e-mailed to me from a reliable ´óÏó´«Ã½ Source - whatever that means these days :-)
Give it at least 30 secs to download and play.
...I knew Rupert was back. I read the Newsletter before I saw this posting.
Had his paws all over it - the Newsletter that is...
Was that a pregnant paws?
Does anyone know how to change my default player for these clips that Eric posts from RealPlayer to Windows Media Player please? The latter works on my PC, the former does not. I've given up trying to find out why :-/
Annasee (15) Don't worry about your repertoire....coming from you, it will all sound wonderful ;o) Hope you sell lots of CDs, and good luck with the opera. It sounds like you'll need your umbrella, and not just for the rain!
Miss Pooh Bear, I won't hear a bad word spoken against you....I don't believe a word Annasee said about tears and shouting ;o) Good luck tomorrow - I'm sure you'll sail through the exam.xx
Yes, I was right, the programme was over before I got to listen.
Still I love the idea of a blog sound preview.
Mary
Aperitif (19)
As a non-Windows user, I'm prepared to be corrected, but I think that the streamed audio that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ provides needs the realplayer.
Do you listen to these clips by adjusting your default player, or just cannot hear these clips full stop?
Good Luck Miss Pooh Bear! (Not that you'll need it, you'll be fab!xx)
Lovely to hear you Rupert, but can you stop that other chap butting in next time?
Anth (22), Thanks for your reply. I just haven't been able to hear them for months because my Real Player wouldn't play (anything, not just clips from here). Interestingly, after I posted that yesterday afternoon, I clicked on it anyway out of silliness/bloody-mindedness/vain hope and it played!!! My laptop is clearly a cheeky sort that enjoys playing practical jokes! I dunno what happened, I really don't. Now all I have to decide is do I go back through months of blog listening to all the clips I've missed?...
David who? in the city of Lost Angels.
did he not play for ENGLAND and not win?
One wonders about sports that do not use horses.......are they real sports..
...now chasing that Vicki Becki Spice Posh Fingy over 5 furlongs might just be our thingy!
pip....pip.......
Hello all! sorry i haven't been on blog for,like,AAAGGEESS...ive been very busy.e.g.....

no-one'll come back this far but just wanted to say I loved this!
"Come on!" (and come on they did!!)
Well done Miss Pooh Bear, and nice to see you again!
Whisht - you're wrong, I'm doing a bit of catching up and clearly have come back this far!
Miss PB - go for it girl! I used to tap too.....
