and since I saw TWO giant trees on the way through TV Centre this morning I thought I would bring them to you.

I think we should all look out for these trees on TV shows over the festive season.

Gosh Eddie - those two trees look positively over fed and obese!

What a country this is - even the trees are fat!

Starting with our own tree and decorations today. The weather is just beautiful with no wind to speak of. Unusual down here on the coast.

They are rather large aren't they? Good luck with the decs. It's unusually clear and calm in London today too.

Let's get the 'Size Police' out, shall we? ;o)

    Eddie:

How big is the PM Christmas Tree this year?

Good luck with the decs? Is this some obscure comment about those well known fund raisers from the Tyneside area who recently, well you know ...........

And what about the Christmas ants?

Will they be appearing on our television screens during the festive season or is it all one big vanity title? I think we should be told Eddie.

    To Eddie:
Where did the figure of $60,000 odd come from as the fine imposed on Conrad Black? As he has stolen millions are his assets not up for grabs?

I hear his jail conditions are to be very comfortable too - can't you enquire?

When countless people say the Americans need only 2 days before charging suspects how do they do it? If the interviewees know why not tell us and if they do not know they should know, why don't they?

What's the carbon footprint of the Olympics, in total?

These and other questions are of interest to me at least but you Eddie never ask them. I hope these few examples are helpful.

    Nothing came to fruition today.

I will make an attempt later and email the results to you all via Eddie and a postcode :-)

The front garden is always hard work - though not making it tacky is important.

It was the Bournemouth Panto press night - hence a late night. It's very good - lot's of flying scenes and clever stuff, certainly worth a visit, and Andy Ryan - who plays Nurse Nelly - and the director is wonderful. He tells me there are 13 costume changes - some beggar belief!

Chris Jarvis is in Basingstoke this year - though I haven't seen it yet.

Chris has an amazing talent of obtaining the correct balance when writing and performing his pantomimes. He always strikes it right (in my humble opinion) and caters for all the generations.

He's been struck down with a nasty bug - so lot's of positive thoughts from us at the moment. They all work so hard to entertain us. I can't wait to see it.

Rob Grover @ 4, I don't like the sound of having ants on your television screen. They would probably be creeping out from the interior, and I'm sure a nest in there would do the machinery no good.

Sounds a bit like having mice nesting in the washing-machine: bad news.

Maybe now is the time to get in the Pest Prevention, *before* they become Christmas ants? Those might get into the presents under the tree as well, and cast a bit of a blight on the celebrations.
