Since our Red Button blog appeared you have been great at feeding back to us about what you like and don't like; what works well and what doesn't and we've enjoyed the fact that you want the best out of the Red Button service as much as we do!
Now you have the chance to tell others how you feel and to influence what we do in 2010 and beyond!
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Trust, the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s governing body, is holding a public consultation about ´óÏó´«Ã½ One, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Four and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button. Go to to have your say.
It's the Trust's job to get the best out of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ for licence fee payers. One of the ways they do this is by carrying out an in-depth review of each of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s services at least once every five years. They're currently reviewing the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button, and they'd like to know your views.
We have a published remit, captured in a Service Licence, which is also published on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Trust website. It's where we set out our stall about what content we will show on Red Button and how we intend to promote the very best of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s values.
You more than most understand what you can find behind the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button service: continuous and constantly updated news, information, education and entertainment for all digital TV audiences, offering interactive video, audio, pictures and text. But how well do you think we are doing and how do you want to see us innovate as technology in your TV develops?
The public consultation is now open and runs until Friday 18th December. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Trust would like to know:
- How often do you use the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s red button and how do you access it?
- If you have used Ceefax, how well do you think ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button works as a digital replacement for the Ceefax text service?
- ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button is meant to offer continuously updated news, information, education and entertainment. How well do you think ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button does this?
- If you have pressed the Red Button to access extra coverage of sports (e.g. Wimbledon, Formula One, Olympics) music events (Glastonbury, The Proms, one off concerts etc) or supporting services for entertainment programmes such as Strictly Come Dancing or Eurovision, what do you think of this programming?
- How easy do you find it to use the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Red Button service?
- What do you think would make the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button service better?

It's 10 years since we started on this journey of bringing interactive TV to the great British public and we truly believe that we offer viewers innovative content and the opportunity to engage with the very best of enhanced ´óÏó´«Ã½ television and radio programming.
