It's my top 5 petrolhead chases in film!

mini.jpgIf you did this stuff in real life you'd get arrested quicker than Lee Lo speeding down Sunset Boulevard. But in the escapist world of the movies, these are classics.

1. The Italian Job (1969 & 2003) The original served up a car chase in Turin with a cheeky grin (red, white and blue Minis anyone?). The remake souped up the motors and trasported the action to LA. Iconic stuff.

2. The Transporter (2002) Some action stars look like they were born to be behind a wheel. The steely-eyed Jason Statham, driving bank robbers through the strees of Nice, is one of those guys.

3. The Bourne Supremacy (2004) The Russian taxi that Matt Damon drives might not be the coolest but the way he handles it in the Moscow tunnels is awesome. A handheld, gritty chase that puts you in the driving seat.

4. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) Arnie took the action movie into a new era with an awesome truck vs motorbike chase, battling the evil T-1000. Huge, huge, huge.

5. The Matrix Reloaded (2003) A freeway chase scene that took 3 months to film was always going to be special. Add in 100 cars, some in-car kung fu and weird twins with dreadlocks and you're left breathless.
