It's my Top 5 Summer Blockbusters of '09!
1. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (24th June) A $200 million dollar budget - that's $50 million MORE than the last movie - guarantees that this will be the most explosive film of the Summer. Prepare for jaws to drop.
2. Public Enemies (3rd July) Johnny Depp (pictured) and Christian Bale play opposite sides of the law in this historical blockbuster about America's crime-wave in the 1930s. It's gonna be intense.
3. Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince (17th July) We've waited since November (when it was unceremoniously pulled from the schedule) so the buzz around HP6 is fit-to-burst. As Voldemort draws ever closer, the corridors of Hogwarts are awash with rumours, tales...and romance.
4. Terminator: Salvation (1st June) Set in 2018, Christian Bale is the saviour of the human race John Connor. But as machines get ever more complex in their bid to take over the planet, this salvation ain't gonna be easy.
5. Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (July 1st) The storyline may be about Sid, Diego and Manny discovering dinosaur eggs but I'm just glad that Scrat the squirrel is back - and this time, finds lurve...

1. Star Trek
As a big Trek fan, I've waiting for this film for a long time, and with excellent reviews coming out over the last few weeks, I can't wait to see it in the Glasgow IMAX!!!
2. Public Enemies
A cinematic pairing of this quality should make for an excellent film - the Heat of the noughties possibly. And it'll be good to see Johnny Depp in a role where he doesn't prance about and put of cock-er-ney accent.
3. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
We're almost there - the end is in sight. As they go on, the films are getting darker and the quality is improving vastly with each of them.
4. Terminator: Salvation
Not an original Terminator fan, just going by the trailer, it looks pretty dam amazing. Let's hope McG (of Charlie's Angels fame!!!) doesn't mess it up.
5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
I love the X-Men film, but this does feel slightly like "Let's get a little more money from X-Men" rather than "Let's tell another story". It'll still get to see it thought.
Just to note, I haven't made my peace with Transformers. An overly loud, incoherent film which is contributing to the 'Bayification' of cinema!
Roll on the summer!!!
