In the quest for world domination of your living room two of the major console makers have announced the addition of several features to their machines to make the even more enticing.

have unveiled an update for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ iplayer to allow you to watch programmes on the Wii without turning your computer on. This will be available from Wednesday 18th November - Heavy! Check it out right

have gone even further by totally revamping the Xbox desktop, with their new Xbox Collectivee: Twitter, Facebook, Last Fm and Zune are being added, so social networking online radio and media serving facilities are all going to appear on the 360. In particular Zune looks interesting because this should allow you to listen to music, videos and other content from your P.C on the Xbox. More details to come. Check this out
