I'm an addict and I admit it..... but can you? I've come across an addiction that I didn't know existed, I'm talking about OVERCHARGING your gadgets!
Don't laugh....I'm serious. How many times do you stick your phone, PSP, DS or laptop on a charger without the battery running down? As soon its it gets to about 3 bars, panic sets in. You know you're not supposed to do it? I made the horrible mistake of buying a brand new laptop and keeping it plugged in while the battery was still in. Trust me £110 for a new laptop battery ain't the one!
Treble's Laptop is now a Desktop as is his Archos (now a paper weight) because he KILLED the battery cells! (Cell murderer).
If I think about it the only gadget I run down fully is my games pad. I'll play a game till that joy pad battery is DEAD.
What about you guys? Do you overcharge your gadgets? Are you addicted, come admit thats the first step....
So this week, came out and we thought who better to get to review it then our very own Silver J. (If you listen to the show then you may hear Silva J helping out in the studio from time to time). He's a big Pokemon fan (he even cried when Ash died in the movie - exactly!!). Nuff said! Take it away Silver J....
Okay so my first thought, great the return of the Pocket Monsters. But then I thought wait, is there any real need to tamper with a classic? I was initially excited to play the game but I did worry that Heart Gold could just be a rinsed out sequel like or the latest
Having said that I gotta admit, once I picked up the game I couldn't put it down. I played it bed, annoyed people with the audio on the train, I even took it to the toilet. (Pause again! - Producer Woman).
The aim of the game, pretty much the same as Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and all the others, is to collect all the Pokemon, picking up the Gym Badges along you're way and eventually winning the Pokemon league. Got that ? Cool, question is though is it worth spending your hard earned doh on?
If your parents complain about your constant gaming or if your just looking for a way to try make a career out of gaming then here's some good news for ya!
is the name of a new educational course that sets you up for a career in the gaming world. The course has been given the thumbs up by important men in suits and you could end up with a properly recognised qualification. (Bonus!!).
Now to me that sounds like a decent step up from sitting on your sofa joystick in hand. So if you're serious about making money from games you could do far worse than taking a look.
So everyone always seems to have an opinion on gaming being a bit of a boys club, but just how sexist are computer games really?
I have to admit did occur to me that except for a few games where its obviously been done as a selling point (very fit most video games are probably totally and completely sexist, at least in the characters and the way they're sold to us. (Unless of course we're talking DS and games which tend to be more female friendly). I wonder just how many women bought , and more to the point just how many game advertised excludes womenfolk from getting involved?
What do you guys think, do you agree or disagree? Are you a female gamer or do you know any females who might be persuaded to game if it was made more attractive? Ladies holla at me..

So it's was that time of year again (March 19th) when the UK actors and actresses get together for the , it's the Oscar's of the UK. Since 1998 Bafta also recognises the massive industry that is Video Games and has given it it's own awards amongst the TV and Film industry.
While they were celebrating all that is interactive in the world of Video Games a lot of the celebs took the opportunity to talk about their love of gaming; Ralph Little (may know him from ´óÏó´«Ã½ 3's sitcom comedy Four Pints Of Larger and A Packet Of Crisps) said Halo is the best shoot em up ever! .. That's big talk Ralph.. (X Factor) would play in the X Factor house to chill out and our sister station Radio 1's presenter Edith Bowmen admitted she likes what she calls the 'Show Off' games such as .. (comedian who used to walk around with an oversized Mobile Phone, like you do!) said he enjoys a night in with ...

RIGHT.....I think some biscuits, cakes and a drink are needed by the couch when you put God of War III in the PS3. You will not want to get up once it starts!
When you complete the opening scene pause is NOT an option. Big opener, big battles, thousands of creatures and a conclusion to one of the best trilogies in the gaming world.
Kratos takes the battle to Mount Olympus to Zeus's house! The battle is incredible! His return as been long anticipated. This is possibly the biggest sequel of the year!! (Big talk)
The weapons, graphics, game play and effects are amazing. I didn't want it to end.
I so wished I had invented some sort of on-line multiplay for this game because it's shorter than the previous two editions.
It's the multi-million selling God Of War machine and Kratos is getting his revenge finally over the gods for being betrayed. I don't want to give the storyline away; you need to see it for yourself. Please make note that this game has an 18 rating, not for the faint hearted.
Final thoughts, you need this in your collection. It's a BANGER!!!!!
I'm in training for Sport Relief this coming Sunday and I've been running around Tooting Bec Common almost every day for the past week. I've had a number of gadgets to help me in my quest for the body beautiful! So aside from looking like a moving traffic light and bringing down satellites with all this hi-tech stuff I'm also road testing them.
Check out my ratings below to see if any of them can work for you.
After seeing the film I was interested in how playing the game would compare. The film was a bit weird, wacky and imaginative - Would the game have the same vibe?
Playing as the little rabbit was a bit weird using the stylus to play the game rather than the controls, but once you get the hang of it the game becomes quite addictive...
The 2 big screens on the are cool but slightly old fashioned.
The game itself is very Tim Burton, a bit dark and weird atmosphere with a cool soundtrack.
A brand new online gaming service called "onlive" is about to be launched and they reckon it could spell the end of your gaming console because these games will be streamed directly to your TV or even a low powered P.C.
If you have an iphone or itouch then check out what I've just found.
This wicked app allows you to remotely control your P.C in a area that has Wi-Fi. Make a note It ONLY works with the iphone or itouch. You have to install it to your computer, which then will recognize your iphone, then your good to go.
You can view and resize the screen just like browsing the net, you can control your home PC while hanging out in a coffee shop or local pub on a lazy Sunday afternoon (most of these shops & pubs now have a sign to say they have 'Free Wi-Fi' that you can connect to the network for nothing more than buying a pint or a coffee)
Or you could be lying in bed while working on your desktop (like me, some call it Laziness, I call it multitasking) you could be saving important documents, typing up that important application or CV that you keep putting off, well now there's no excuse.
Its called:
Let me know if you are as impressed by this as I am..
So its another 1st person shooter in the modern army style. Battlefield Bad company 2 is a very pretty looking game with the back ground graphics looking almost photorealistic.
The original Battlefield was all about the online multiplayer but due to rivals improving their titles theres a brand new shiny story mode. which although not quite as good as C.O.D it is still very good. The A.I in games is starting to get quite amusing not just the enemies but your computer controlled team mates will act accordingly to try and keep you and your team alive. To be honest with you this game has come at a very good time cos I was just starting to get bored with C.O.D having completed most of it and this might just be the new shooter of choice on my console. If you aint got a 1st person shooter already then you might wanna take a look at this if not its still worth considering as it does stand alone as a good game.
Me and Dev got an exclusive invite to the european gamer summit! Located in a secret HQ deep in the bowels of the 02 Arena we got the V.I.P treatment as we checked out Nintendos new game offerings for 2010 like Metroid other M, Sin and punishment and the latest Mario super galaxy. Spent the whole afternoon playing brand new games on 20 foot screens and in private showing lounges! Can't be bad eh? Check it out.
Big up Dev and the 5.19 crew for being just as geeky as me!
So if you've been reading the news stories of all the PS3 drama You'll know the Sony online network went mad and couldn't work out the date at the end of Feb. This meant the old fat original machines were doing odd things like losing all your achievements and trophys and preventing peeps from gaming online. We even had trouble getting our slimline PS online in 1Xtra. Has this cheesed you off? Are you gonna sell your PS for an Xbox? or maybe just buy a ? Bearing in mind the PS online network is free which is a great bonus, unlike Xbox, so with this in mind, is this something you're willing to put up with?
