Prototyping Weeknotes #32 (17/09/10)

Sam, Chris B and Duncan formed the Prototyping team at an internal hackday on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Homepage. They quickly dashed off an XMPP PubSub-based widget of real-time football scores, commentary and video highlights. It looks very impressive and got lots of plaudits on the day.

The design team surfaced with their proposal for a Second Screen companion application for Springwatch. It's looking very nice and we're about to start the build by scoping out what we'll need to do for some testing and trials.

Chris N's work on marker tracking on Android is going strong - he's capturing images from the internal camera and has the marker tracking library compiling and running. After these investigations we now need to get together next week with another R&D team to look at next steps.

Other than that, there was an R&D patents seminar on Thursday lunchtime, Paul's working hard attempting to open-source some code and we've been focusing on our longer-term strategy.
