Bryan:-

I've really been enjoying the debut album from a guy called which I bought by chance last week. He's a former Hip Hop Dj and this is his first outing as a singer. He looks like a geeky white guy but sounds like Smokey Robinson. He's a Motown nut and it's such a spot on retro production it's hard to believe that you're not listening to something that's forty years old.

Mayer Hawthorne plays King Tut's, Glasgow, October 24th.
