Celtic Connections - Treacherous Bus
took to the streets of Glasgow this afternoon to promote their Celtic Connections gig tomorrow night.. but there was nothing conventional about their mode of transport.
An open-top tour bus carried them from the City Halls to George Square, on to Byres Road, and down to the Concert Hall, and they were determined to attract as much attention as possible!
Banners adorned the bus and the guys (10 of the 13-strong band) played their hearts and lungs out. With the volume cranked up on tunes like 'Sausages', heads were turning all over town.
Passers-by seemed to like the randomness of the travelling gig but I don't think anyone enjoyed themselves as much as The Treacherous Orchestra themselves! It was a far cry from the schools concert they'd performed earlier in the day but I can't wait to see if they exude the same boundless energy tomorrow night at the Old Fruitmarket. Nobody can fail to be caught up in their enthusiasm!
