Studio One group shot

It's a given that Vic Galloway has been responsible for introducing many of the biggest names in Scottish music to the airwaves...Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, Frightened Rabbit...all got their first plays on his show.

A veritable galaxy of Scottish music scene people turned out for a stonker of a Christmas party in Studio One, as Vic said a fond fairwell to his Radio 1 slot.

Watch a selection of clips from the gig to get a feel for the atmosphere. Not a dry eye in the house...we've got videos of Scott Frightened Rabbit, Alex Kapranos, MCs Profisee and Simba and The Phantom Band. Also performing were DJ Krash Slaughta and Young Fathers. Or check out the audio of the full gig.

Meanwhile, Vic can still be heard on his Radio Scotland Monday night show, of course.
