Bert Jansch dies aged 67

Bert Jansch, the legendary Scottish acoustic guitarist, died this morning.

He came to prominence during the sixties folk revival, and as part of the jazz-folk supergroup Pentangle with another guitar maestro, John Renbourn. His distinctive technique of finger-picking and string bending won him admirers from Jimmy Page to Johnny Marr and has been hugely influential. As recently as 2010 he was touring with .
