After the Summer of Sport, the autumn Inside...
Hello everyone and welcome to a new series of .
We're back after what must be one of the best . Gabby has been to meet triple Olympic cycling gold medallist Chris Hoy to see how he's coping with his new found fame - he's even big in Japan as we found on the streets of Edinburgh (do tune in to find out what I mean).
Gabby will also be sorting through 's shoe cupboard. Gabby has her eyes on , though I'm not sure she and Becky are the same size.
Other stars already lined up (bar unforeseen disasters!) are England and Spurs star, - it's been a but David is confident things are looking up; the first big interview with after ; and we've been following on the road back from .
has been delving into the post- - how much money is ? And he's also met the .
I've taken on board the comments on my blog about the various ideas we have for this season. So - no viewers e-mails on air! Having a debate programme is a great idea and one we're working on; we will be on ´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer, too, but not until the weekend after we're broadcast, though you should be able to red button us on Tuesday night.
And we've also made some changes to our panel - , Steve Bunce and Tony Livesey will all return, but we're also getting some of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport's best talent in to talk about their sport. So watch out for Jonathan Pearce, David Croft, Steve Cram, Aggers, and more.
More news of exactly what's in show one - MONDAY 6 OCTOBER, 2330 BST, ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE - next week.
It's good to be back and keep the comments coming.

I seem to remember many people including myself saying it should be on earlier than what was its usual time slot. Seems you have gone the other way with 11.30? NOt a great time at al for the start of a new season.
Also a bit strange about the i-player, why such a wait after the programme is shown?
Everything else sounding good though, glad to hear your taking more advantage of the people you have available at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport, also happy about the debate programme, something I suggested along with others which seemed popular so good to see you are taking on board our views.
Just try to make seeing the programme a bit more convenient please instead of what seems to be hiding it away.

There is nothing I could be less interested in than Chris Hoy and Rebecca Adlington saying how shocked and delighted they were with their Beijing experience and how much they look forward to 2012. They've said it all before and I doubt there is anything new in those interviews to what has been on before.
The things that Matthew Pinsent will be doing will definitely interest me though as will the pundits from the various sports. The Nick Faldo interview should be good too if Gabby can ask the tough questions.
Its great to see Steve Bunce back.
A good programme just in a poor time slot.

I imagine that is slightly unfair. I am sure that the broadcast time is in the hands of ´óÏó´«Ã½ schedulers who have the final say on these things. Maybe Inside Sport just does not get enough viewers to justify a time where it will compete against the likes of Newsnight etc...

Like the idea of using some more people from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport in the studio alongside the 3 regulars.
I would like to see some more ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport reporters used - the likes of Phil Jones, Garry Richardson and Sonja McLaughlan.
Really dissapointed with the time slot getting later. I know scheduling isn't your job. At least it will be on iplayer now that is a positive move - if I fall asleep before the end I can catch up. Although its odd to have such a long wait.
I also read the new series will be 30 mins episodes which is a dissapointment if true.
Redtimbo #3 - I actually look forward to Chris Hoy and Rebecca Adlington being on - Rebecca in particular wasn't well know before the olympics and it will be interesting to know more about her.
Just try and keep the range of sports covered broad.

On the flip side, good to have it back.

And about the iPlayer - it's a techy answer - because of sports rights issues, we need to reversion our show. Happily we do this already because we produce a version of Inside Sport for ´óÏó´«Ã½ World News but until now the iPlayer hasn't been able to pick up the signal of ´óÏó´«Ã½ World (picking up a channel signal is how the I player gets programmes on to itself). But now the ´óÏó´«Ã½ News Channel is running the ´óÏó´«Ã½ World News version too over the weekend (from Friday nights) the iPlayer can pick up Inside Sport from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ News Channel signal. And that's also why the programme can't be on the iPlayer until the News Channel has run it.
Confused? Happily in early 2009 it will become easier to get the programme on the iPlayer because of new techy developments.
(iPlayer will be able to take content in any form, so we can supply them with a tape on Tuesday evenings.)
Hope that's useful

I guess we have Adlington's shoe collection because David Beckham's hairdresser was busy.

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ 10 o'clock News mentioned this in one sentence at the very end of the Sports coverage. There was no video footage - not even a photo of Vale. Just a shot of the news reader.I mentioned this to my husband - his reply? "Well that's what it's like to be a bike fan!
The MotoGP coverage on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ is fantastic. I can't fault it - except I'd like to be able to watch all the qualifying races, rather than having to go to my Mum and Dad's to watch it on Sky!
Other European countries don't suffer this! The Spanish are passionate about the bikes; the Italians too. The number of British bike fans are on the increase - Donington Park MotoGP attendance was in excess of 70, 000.
Rossi made history today.......he's come a long way this year and he's so entertaining as a rider and personality! He should atleast have been seen on the sports news and not mentioned as an afterthought. Come on guys... you can do better than this! You are the ´óÏó´«Ã½!

Thanks for your e mails about which sport you would like to see on the 2016 Olympics. The biggest number went for Rugby Sevens, with a decent number for Squash and Golf. The discussion in the studio revolved around the a) do we want another big sport that's really professional ( like Tennis already is) or a completely amateur one like inline speed skating? Lots of commentators often say we should have amateur sports as they are more in keeping with the Olympic Spirit - I'm not sure I agree with that.
