Can you believe it's Week 11 already?Ìý It's easy to forget quite how much stuff has happened.Ìý Sure you could just go back to episode 1 and watch all 55 episodes (and counting!) again, but after you've done that twenty or so times it gets a bit repetitive.

So why not pick your favourite songs from this week's soundtrack, start playing them, and look through all of the brilliant pics we've been putting up, savouring every delicious behind-the-scenes moment?Ìý

Here are the tracks you can choose from this week:

---

- Runaway Boys

vs - Day N Nite (Radio Edit)

- Where The Heart Is

- I Don't Like Mondays

- Heartbeat

- What You Have Is Enough

- You Can't Always Get What You Want

- Dog Days Are Over

- FireÌý

- Camera

King Charles - Time of Eternity (Courtesy of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing)Ìý

- See Me Through

- Beautiful FeelingÌý

- U R A Fever

- Heroes

Personally, I think I'll start off with a bit of Bowie meets Pudsey...

If you watched this week's Cut Special, you'll know how VERY flipping excited I was about the fact The Cut were in Brighton this week, so I'll try not to dwell on it too much... but stilll... THE SEASIDE!! Yippeeeee.

If you missed this week's episodes of The Cut, or if you want them all wrapped up in a 25 minute bundle like an early Christmas present, check out this little beauty. Yes, it's The Cut Week 11 Omnibus! Umm... SCANDAL!! Hands up, who saw that ending coming??

In other slightly seaside related goodness, there's a new Cut gallery up with backstage pics from the beachy trip, so click this way... and because we're lovely to you, here's an exclusive pic of Marla and Jay for your viewing pleasure:

cutradio1.JPG

Do you think they were cold by any chance?!

Right I'm off to the seaside. I've actually stolen that pink I <3 Brighton hoodie to wear... well, it's on the back of my chair... it's quite tempting to just 'grabbit and run'...*

I'M GOING TO DO IT.

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

*These last few words once formed part of a phrase used in the Cut. A prize** will be awarded to the person who can tell me where and what the full phrase was...

**The prize is less of a prize and more a sense of 'PRIDE' at having got it right, plus ultimate respect from me. But tbh, what more could you ask for?

Exactly.

The 5:19 Cut Special - Sea, Sand and Shanties

Comments

As a tribute to Marla and Jay's visit to Brighton, this week Vicki presents a seaside spesh!

That's right, the show is broadcast all the way from... errr, the 5:19 basement (oh). ANYWAY, there's chip throwing, wave crashing and sea-shanty-ing comin' atcha left right and centre, so it feels like you're really there (kind of)!

But in case you get sunburnt easily or you're afraid of the sea, do not fret, as there's the normal Cut special goodness to bring you back to land.

Vicki gives you her 60 second second guide to The Cut and you can find out what happened when Olive, Tommy and Fin went to visit Annie and Nick on Radio 1. Speaking of impressions, see if you can guess who Jay is trying to imitate. I think it's Louis Walsh, but I was WAY off with Olive and Stephen's impression, so wouldn't be surprised if I get it wrong again.*

Watch the entire show , wait for it, wait for it... NOW!

Haha! Still loving this week's celeb cameo (see if you can spot him - he's yellow and a bear, which should help narrow it down a bit).

What do you make of the soundtrack to Week 10?Ìý It's a bit of a mix - old stuff, recent stuff, big names and new artists, like a delicious tapas of sound.Ìý Or something.

Omnibus and a *tiny* bit of goss...

Helloooo and happy Saturday Cut, crew!

Now, first things first, it's your weekly link... to the sweeting Cut Omnibus! I have one word for you... and one word only... but I'm not going to type it here, just in case you read it before you've watched the show. So watch it, then scroll to the bottom and I will unleash said word. Brace yourselves. It is immense.

Sooo.... "What's been happening this week at Cut HQ?!" I hear you cry. Well, fear not, I will tell all. First of all, there was this lovely little 5:19 Cut Special which went behind the scenes at the filming of the BRAND NEW Cut promo, plus there was the world premiere of a certain little cartoon drawn by a certain little me. Then there was not one, but TWO new photo galleries for your delectable viewing. And if that's not enough... we unleashed the new cut promo unto the world!

But I know the stuff you really want to know, and that stuff is obviously THE GOSSIP. Well, I was lucky enough to get a sneaky peak at next week's episode and I can reveal that a) we meet a new character, that b) there is a sort of water fight and c) ...ohhh, I sooooo shouldn't be telling you this, but I'm just going to do it: THERE IS SOME SURPRISE SNOGGING INVOLVED. Who with who?? Ahhh, I'm not telling you that much! You'll just have to wait and see...

But for now, here's a lovely little exclusive pic of Pudsey BLANKING Olive!

Pudsey blanks Olive

Oh and lastly, that word? Wait for it... wait for it...

BRIGHTOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNN!!

Errrrmmm.... Bye.

Brand new - it's a Cut promo extravaganza!

If you watched The 5:19 Cut Special yesterday, you'll already have had a sneaky peak behind the scenes at the filming of *the new Cut promo* PLUS you'll have seen it's online premiere, but if you didn't (erm, what were you thinking?) then fear not because THERE'S MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM.

If you follow us this way, you will see a whole photo gallery filled with behind the scenes snaps from the day. You can also watch the whole 5:19 Cut Special again here... oh, and you can watch the promo in full below:

Online Promo Premiere on The 5:19 Cut Special

This week's Cut special was a very sweaty affair indeed, as Vicki got all the goss from behind the scenes of The Cut promo, which was all filmed under a ma-hussive* sheet.

Find out who Marla had her very first on screen smooch with, and stick around to the end to watch the brand new promo vid in full!

If that's not enough to make you wanna watch, there was also a 60 second update (with an animated Vicki), and you can check out the new challenge from Olive and Stephen... What are they trying to be? I'm thinking a rock underneath a windy tree. I could be wrong. I probably am.

Anyway, have a look-see at the entire show right here...

In last week's challenge, Party Horse told you three 'facts' about themselves, of which one was a lie, and I can reveal right here right now, that the lie was (drum roll please) B!

David does NOT make a living as a foot model, but that does mean Ursula's first crush was 3T. Unbelievable! No, I didn't know who 3T were either, but a quick search tells me they were a 90's boy band who were all Michael Jackson's nephews! Who knew The Cut blog could be so informative?

*A mixture of the word massive and huge, basically it was VERY BIG!

Bullyproof and The Cast of The Cut - on Radio One

Vicki Vicki | 16:20 UK time, Monday, 16 November 2009

Comments

All this week, there's a big anti-bullying campaign across ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch, RadioÌýOne and 1xtra called 'Bullyproof'. As part of it, Olive, Fin and Tommy* from The Cut popped into Switch with Annie and Nick on Radio One to talk about their characters, how bullying affects them and also how they each find the confidence to do things like talk live on radio!

They were really fab. Don't believe me? Listen again here

/iplayer/b0081k8q/console (skip to 2 hours and 27 mins in)

Here is a lovely pic of the cast with Nick and Annie:

cutradio1.JPG

We filmed someÌýace behind the scenes stuff with the cast too (they were excited, but very nervous!), so we'll pop that in The 5:19 Cut Special on Tues, 24th November.

Look out for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Bullyproof stamp which is all over the web and head to the bullying minisite for information on confidence tips and how to protect yourself online

To quote La Roux, get yourself 'bulllllly-proof'. Oh wait. That's not how it goes...

*Do you like the way I've casually just linked to Tommy and Fin's, oh you know, BRAND NEW CHARACTER PROFILES?! Smooth.

Week 9 Omnibus, parties and presents.

Helllooooo!

I feel I've got loads to tell you on this merry Saturday, but of course the most important of all is that you can watch the Week 9 omnibus ALL OVER AGAIN, right here. I intend to watch it a good five or twenty times today.

Okay and now for the REAL gossip. On Monday, we had a little 'Hooray! We've finished filming series of The Cut' type party. All the cast and crew were there, and the highlights were when Billie (plays Olive), Jess (plays Toni) and Lara (Marla) made up a dance. Okay, maybe I was involved a little bit, too. There was also much bowling involved, and both Matt (Stephen) and Sam (Jay) proved they were pretty darn good. I guess you could say they bowled us all over with their skills... but I won't because that's just, like, sooo cheesy.

In more websitey news, we have a present for you! Well, it's a sort of present. Not the kind you'd ask for for Christmas, not least because it would be a nightmare to wrap, but ANYWAY! The present is...Ìýthis widget! Yes, I didn't know what one was either until Trev explained. Basically, a widget is a little thing you can embed on your pages (so facebook, bebo, blogs etc) that will update every time there's a new episode of The Cut, or a new bit of backstage gossip. So you know, get with it... or should that be 'get WIDGET!' Ha ha ha.

Ahem.

There is also a lovely photo gallery of week 9 here for your viewing pleasure and don't forget, if you missed it, you can watch Tuesday's 5:19 Cut special with Party Horse again. Fin's surname was revealed on the show, too. On this Tuesday's Cut Special a certain brand new Cut promo *might* just be getting it's first online airing, after it was shown at Switch Live. Oooh indeed.

Right! I think that's everything. I'm off to watch The Cut again because I have no life outside of the show.

No, really, I don't.

Bye!

Vicki xx

PS. I had a bit of trouble logging on to comment on this blog, but I got it sorted. If any of you, like Fcauznet and Olivia26rosa, are having the same difficulties give me a little email and I'll do what I can to sort it out: thecut@bbc.co.uk

Anywho, as filming for series one of The Cut has come to an end, I thought I'd try my hand out at blogging for you lovely people!

I've just watched the Cut special and seen the interview with , who talk about how cool it was having their music used in The Cut and also give us their best horse impressions (suprisingly accurate), plus the search for Fin's surname is OVER! Did we choose your suggestion? It's all right here, right now, so have a look...

Well, here we are, Saturday the 7th of November. What does this mean? Well, obviously that firework night has been and gone, that tomorrow it is the mahoosive event that is Switch Live... oh, and that THE WEEK 8 OMNIBUS OF THE CUT IS ONLINE NOW! Watch it again here. Umm... as IF Jay did that!! What's gonna happen now? Ahhh!

In the past we've chatted about our favourite 'one liners' and 'looks', but this week I think it should be all about the clothes. What's rocked your world so far? My favourite item has to be Marla's pink dress that she wears in all the promo images and thanks to this lovely little thing that Slink have made, I can find out where to get it from (Hooray!). If you have any other clothing related questions, chuck 'em this way and we'll do our best to FASHION an answer for you. Ahem.

Other Things That Have Gone On This Week include: an interview with the band Kids Love Lies, whose music is used on The Cut and this snazzy image gallery from Week 8. So feast your ears, eyes and possibly nose on that lot (we won't ask how you managed the nose thing) and have a great weekend, innit!

BYEEEEEE!

Ah, good Wednesday everyone! On yesterday's 5:19 Cut special, we chatted to Kids Love Lies (not that we've gone music mad or, err, anything). They told us how nervous they were to play Radio One's Big Weekend, who has the smelliest feet and then they did an acoustic performance of their new single. Watch it again right here...

BTW Fin Ger is still my fave for Fin's surname. Hmmm, or how about Fin Ished?? Afterall, 'Fin' does mean 'end' in french and it is the end of my blog.

But then again, I'm not French.

Still.
