I was delighted to see the article that was shown last night (13th dec) on Wales Today about the deaf child, Daisy and the school choir. I teach deaf children and I have 3 propoundly deaf children in the infants dept of a fairly large primary school. The chidren have just performed their xmas concert and included a signed carol...Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star. The whole of the infants dept (60, 3 - 6 year olds) signed the first verse in complete silence. As you can imagine this was a wonderful sight as all the children were on stage in constume. The silence added to the impact and I have to admit, it brought a tear to my eyes and many of the audience. Deafness is often a misunderstood disability and its brilliant that you have highlighted it in your article. If you should want to make another xmas report, you would not fo far wrong by visiting the school.
Merry Xmas to you all
