As an Englishman living hin the U.S. for the past 14 years, I really hope that some of the gullible, and ill informed people in this country finally wake up and see what is happening. If the Democrats do not achieve a significant victory in both the House and the Senate, get rid of this appalling, criminal congress, and challenge the Bush office at every turn over the next two years, I despair of it ever happening.

For GA: The only hope is a radical change via peaceful means resulting in a Multiracial Multiethnic Libertarian Green Government.

However, the Dems are just as bad. They have continued to support the war on Iraq, they continue to allow the freedoms within the country to be stripped away and they continue to be supported by big corportations.

Well if the Democrats do not take back the House and Senate in these mid-terms then it won't be for lack of trying on the GOP's part, they are imploding rather like the Labour government is doing right now in the UK.

I can see why the Republicans win elections, despite having deeply problematic and fear-filled policies: They are simply better at the 'game' of politics than the Democrats. Noone knows how to install terror into the hearts of plenty better than the GOP's "If you elect the Democrats, then god will make sure that you burn in hell!" strategy of the last 50 or so years, and the Democrats still haven't been able to come up with a decent tactic to fight against that.

The only way that the Democrats will win the next election is by installing a strong well-known person as leader (successfully shown by Kennedy, Clinton, et al), someone who can take on Bush/Cheney/Rove/McCain measure for measure and unite the party. The last thing they need is to plump for the least-offensive non-personality in the crowd, as they did before.
