Welsh Arts Review of the Year on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two Wales

Nicola Heywood Thomas presents a round up of 2011's cultural and entertainment highlights in the Welsh Arts Review of the Year on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two Wales this Boxing Day.

Nicola, the presenter of the weekly Radio Wales Arts Show on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Wales, will take a look back at a year crammed full of artistic achievement in Wales.

During the show Nicola speaks to Michael Sheen, who relives his experience of performing The Passion in Port Talbot, a massive three-day undertaking for . The Passion played out over the Easter bank holiday weekend, at times to thousands of spectators. Browse a gallery of photos from the event on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Wales News website.

Meanwhile, DJ and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Wales Music blogger Bethan Elfyn gives her verdict on the Welsh music scene in 2011, and Only Men Aloud's musical director Tim Rhys-Evans takes a look back at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cardiff Singer of the World 2011.

The programme also takes a look at this year's film releases that have been shot in Wales, such as the adaptation of Owen Sheers' novel Resistance - starring Welsh actors Michael Sheen, Iwan Rheon and Sharon Morgan. Browse some pictures from the film on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Wales Arts.

Plus there's a look back to the recent Dylan Thomas Award ceremony, with judge Rachel Trezise sharing her memories of scooping the inaugural prize in 2006.

The Welsh Arts Review of the Year will be shown on Monday 26 December at 9pm on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two Wales, and will be repeated on the same channel on New Years Day at 6.30pm.
