Facebook campaign aims for first Welsh-language hit single

Hot on the heels of the successful bid to get Rage Against The Machine to the 2009 Christmas Number One spot comes another Facebook campaign, this time to achieve the first Welsh-language Top 40 hit single.

are releasing their single Yn Y Ddinas ('In the city') on St David's Day, 1 March and the accompanying Facebook campaign group - has, at the time of writing, 9590 members.

On the campaign page, the organisers say, "If we sell 1,500 we're guaranteed to get the track into the Official UK TOP 40, but we need thousands to join the group to acheive this."
