Katherine Jenkins appeals to Cowell for X Factor slot
judge and Welsh 'popera' mainstay Katherine Jenkins has issued a 'come and get me' appeal to kingpin to replace on the hit ITV show.
, Jenkins used an appearance at an iTunes Live event in London to say, "I am a mentor to contestants on Popstar To Operastar so I've made the move from stage to telly.
"It would be a similar kind of role so I am getting the relevant training to join Simon on the panel.
"I now know what he has to go through with the contestants. What it's like to have to deal with them when they get upset. I totally understand why CHERYL COLE gets tearful too. I've been the same when some of the celebrities on my show are gutted to go home."
Do you think Ms Jenkins would be a good replacement for the Australian?

As for whether or not she's be good... well, as far as I can tell she normally has very little of interest to say but manages to look OK on screen. So, a perfect replacement for Dannii Minogue.

First of all Danii was probably the most direct and accurate judge of all.
Second of all, I doubt any "celebrity" does it for the money (unless they're publicly in debt) but perhaps do what they do because they enjoy it?

Katherine "I'll do anything for money" Jenkins (as Private Eye calls her in its latest issue) is probably no different, although I do wonder if the quotes in the People article are entirely accurate. She sounded a little desperate there, which isn't a good sign.
