This week's festival of Welsh musical excellence was truncated by Sunday night's election debate. But two and a half hours is plenty long enough for an exquisitely recorded session from Wrexham's . They are the North's epicentre of good vibes and perfect, four-part harmonies; a band to elevate the most embittered soul. They're also about to leave for their spiritual home on the West Coast of America. The troubadour spirit is strong in Heal the Last Stand. The melodic spirit is even stronger. Heartwarming stuff!

Huw Williams, formerly voice and shapes with The Pooh Sticks, talks about The Pooh Sticks. They're reforming for this year's Indietracks Festival and are one of the most affectionately remembered (and influential) Welsh bands of the last 20-ish years. Huw dusts down a real rarity from their back catalogue for us to enjoy.

Lara Catrin was stranded at home by a badly-behaving car, but will return next week to translate Yr Anhrefn's 'Rhedeg i Baris'.

Ben Hayes casts an ear over David Bowie's restless early years.

Next Sunday night, Island / Field Records' artist, Penarth's Pete Lawrie, shares his music DNA with us and we hear the whole of 's fascinating set from Bangor a few weeks back.
