Weekend weather

Derek Brockway Derek Brockway | 12:58 UK time, Friday, 7 August 2009

The weather doesn't look too bad on the whole this weekend. I can't promise wall to wall sunshine, some cloud is likely but apart from the odd shower the emphasis is on a lot of dry weather. The best of the sunshine on Saturday morning.

Rest of today: most places dry with broken cumulus clouds and sunny spells. No more than the odd light shower. The best of the sunshine on many coasts.

Top temperatures between 18 and 21 Celsius with light winds and sea breezes.

Dry this evening and overnight. A few mist and fog patches forming in the countyside. Turning cool. Lowest temperatures 8 to 10C inland. 12 to 14 on the coast.

Tomorrow any early mist and fog patches will soon lift. The best of the sunshine in the morning. Cloud building-up to give a cloudier afternoon. I wouldn't rule out a light shower but most places staying dry. Top temperatures 18 to 21 Celsius with light to moderate winds.

Tomorrow night North West Wales may have a little rain. Elsewhere dry.

Sunday generally cloudier. A light shower in places otherwise mostly dry. The best of the sunshine in East and South East Wales. Highs 18 to 21 Celsius with light winds.

Monday turning cloudy, damp and breezy. Tuesday improving, becoming dry and brighter. Wednesday a little rain in the north, dry in the south.

Have a good weekend
Derek
