Teen fined for littering

Following yesterday's blog about a Rhyl man being fined for putting his bins out early comes a story from Wrexham about a 16-year-old girl ordered to pay £100 for dropping a burger wrapper in the town.

She was issued with a £75 fixed penalty notice in May by Wrexham Council's environment enforcement officers, but failed to pay, and action was taken by Wrexham Council under its new Pride in Your Streets campaign to recover the fine, reports
