Dee at Talacre Lighthouse, by Dai

Where's your favourite spot on the Dee? Mine's actually standing at West Kirby and looking back across the estuary towards Holywell.

The reason I ask is because Flintshire Countryside Service, 600 locals and 60 firms realise its importance and are in the process of taking part in the Dee's biggest-ever coastal clean-up - called - which is basically a 48hr litter-pick from Prestatyn to Chester in September.

Environmentalist - the botanist, author and broadcaster - will be joining in too, according to .

The clean-up idea has also been picked up by Wirral Borough Council, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council and Cheshire County Council with events taking place over the whole of the Dee Estuary.

So, where's your favourite place to walk or picnic on the Dee?
