That was the best golfer ever

LONDON - A colleague had the luxury of watching the first half of the Argentina game in a London pub, where they had subtitles on the telly (it was full of old blokes). Chris writes:
Not that I want to have a laugh at the 大象传媒's expense, but there were some absolute classics. Being an old school journalist, I happened to have pen and paper on me and took them down....
Here are some of the gems we broadcast:
Ian Wright on the Argentina wonder goal -
If that was Brazil, they'd be saying that was the best golfer ever.
Gary Lineker on England-Trinidad:
This is basic stuff, the defendant should be pushing the midfield.
Wright on Saviola's determination to get the cross in for the third goal:
He doesn't give it up, even when he is knocked over by a 6ft geyser.
And finally, Leonardo's analysis on the England-Trinidad game...
There is a big distance between the space and the Doug.
And before we "get complaints", my mum wears two hearing aids and to her, but I know she'd also be laughing.
Before I go, I came across this from the which allows you to choose which team to support based on ethical grounds.
Using ten criteria such as military spending, corruption levels and average personal income, it ranks all 32 teams.
According to the "chooser", Sweden have the definite edge on England for the neutral ahead of Tuesday.
The Scandinavians are the 2nd "most-supportable" team, with a life expectancy of 80 years and of 5.8 tonnes per person.
England languish in 27th, with carbon emissions up at 9.2 tonnes per person (still not as bad as the USA with 20.1 tonnes p.p or indeed Trinidad with 31.9) and life expectancy of 78 years.
That's a whopping 21 years longer than you're likely to live in , officially the most supportable team according to the WDM.

Looks like there's something to the WDM - Ghana just beat the Czech Rep 2-0 !

And what a treat after Ghana, the most supportable team and my personal pick for suprise team of the tournament, have beaten Cz Rep.
There always needs to be a team, apparently without hope, who come and dump the world of statistics and common sense on it麓s arse. Ghana, with the possibility of moving into the next round, could give the world this special treat and a huge tonic for what appears to be a very nice nation of people.
Keeping my fingers crossed for ongoing success :)
