Brokeback bunny? A twist on an Easter tradition
OK, I'm not nearly that clever. I'll tip my hat to my colleagues at ABC in the US for What's this about? Gay and lesbian parents have camped out for tickets at the annual easter egg roll at the White House to make a statement about their family values.
Christian conservatives are not happy bunnies about the move.
"They could easily demonstrate and make their statement at a thousand other places and a thousand other times, but I think that it's a shame that they had to pick the Easter egg roll," said Mark Tooley, director of the United Methodist Committee at the Institute on Religion and Democracy.
