ANOTHER VEIL ROW... THIS TIME IN AUSTRALIA

A Muslim cleric in Australia has after saying women who don't wear veils are attracting sexual assault, and those without a headscarf are like 'uncovered meat'. He's now apologised for any offence caused but that's not stopped many of you in Australia about his comments. Your Prime Minister John Howard says his opinions are 'appalling' - do you agree? Do you accept his apology? Or does he have no need to make one? And should he be allowed to express such opinions freely?

STOPPING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN INDIA

India's first law aimed at protecting women from domestic violence has come in to effect today. The main thrust of it is that men can now be sentenced to a year and fined up to 450 dollars for hitting or threatening their wives. Here's the and here's what some of you . Speaking to one colleague in the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s South Asia Regional Unit, there's anger that the sentences won't be longer. Do you agree with that point of view, or is this the correct law for the crime? And what about those of you who think some violence between and a husband and wife in inevitable and not a matter for the law?

CAN A FIVE MILLION PRIZE HELP IMPROVE AFRICAN GOVERNNANCE?

That's how much is for Africa's most effective head of state. The man handing out the cash is Mo Ibrahim who's made his money in mobile phones and he's set some interesting rules for receiving the money. The winning leader will get the five million in ten instalments over ten years.

So is this a cunning bit of PR from Mr Ibrahim (he'd vehemently deny that), a worthy but meaningless prize that has little relevance to Africans, or a prize that can genuinely encourage African leaders to improve governance in their country? It's an interesting one and a story that we vehemently disagreed about in the meeting. Let's hear what .
