Is manned space exploration worth the money?
Those of you getting the WHYS Daily Email often reply well before we go on air and I would love to get some of you on the show to expand on your comment - it happened yesterday with Henry in Lagos. The trouble is I normally only have an email address to reach you on. Obviously you may not want to talk on air, but if you do, include your phone number then we can easily get back to you.
Here are today's stories:
ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT THE GLOBAL MARKET CRISIS?
British banks and lenders are because a major mortgage-lender .
I heard one of Northern Rock's representatives on the radio today saying it was all about and the credit crisis that has followed around the world. So if this is a world-wide problem (those of you in the States will know all about the sub-prime situation), are you worrying? Do you feel tempted to get your money out of the banks? Or do you trust the system to right itself and look after your financial well-being?
IS MANNED SPACE EXPLORATION WORTH THE MONEY?
To state the obvious, it doesn't come cheap... but that's not stopping several countries trying to send their astronauts (or should that be cashtronauts? Sorry) into space. India and the States are working away at it, and now a group of British experts.
Is it worth the billions? Do you want your country in the space race? And should the world's countries be working together on this rather than competing with each other? Or should this actually be left to companies not governments?
ANOTHER STORMY WEEK IN KENYAN POLITICS
Never a dull moment in Nairobi and this week's main talking point has been the decision by Kenyan MPs .
Add to that the man who opposed President Kibaki in the last election , and some of you in Kenya are itching to get a few things off your chest.
Have a great weekend. Speak to you later.
