RED HOUSE MUSEUM, GOMERSAL: Home to the Taylor family since 1660, Red House is best known for being featured in Charlotte Bronte's novel Shirley, though its name was changed to 'Briarmains'. These days, you can get a taste of life there in the 1830s.
