Cut Your CarbonYou are in: Cambridgeshire > Cut Your Carbon > A passion for trashion Nikkie DiGiovanni from CCORRN A passion for trashionby Chris Osborne Kids at Manor Community College have been turning usless junk into fashion to die for - and now they're trying to turn their school into a carbon saving haven.
Manor Community College is fulfilling its status as a Specialist Performing Arts College by getting arty with rubbish. Kids at the school who were frustrated with all the rubbish the school produces, but couldn't recycle, took it upon themselves to turn their trash into fashion. In short, they created Trashion! We take a look at Rebecca's dress, which she made out of crisp packets she shrunk in the oven, and find out how the Cambridgeshire Community Reuse and Recycling Network are going to help the school be even more eco-friendly. Now the school are working out what else they can make out of our rubbish - so they can cut their carbon even more. last updated: 17/03/2008 at 16:27 SEE ALSOYou are in: Cambridgeshire > Cut Your Carbon > A passion for trashion
