The RHS People's Choice Award

The RHS People's Choice Award is the only award at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show that is decided by public vote and not the RHS judging panel. The RHS asked for you to vote for your favourite show and small garden at the Chelsea Flower Show 2011.

In 2011, from the large gardens, The RHS People's Choice Award was won by Diarmuid Gavin's Irish Sky Garden. The RHS People's Choice Award for small gardens was won by The Art of Yorkshire, designed by Kate Dundas for Gillespies.

The Art of Yorkshire - it has already been awarded Silver by the RHS in the Artisan Gardens category.

Looking at Yorkshire through the eyes of its artists, this garden celebrates the many talented people that have used Yorkshire as a muse. At the heart of the garden a Barbara Hepworth statue, Ascending Form, is framed by undulating perennial planting and dry stone walls which represent the hills and valleys of Yorkshire.

The deadline for all votes was 4pm on Friday 27 May 2011.
