They visited many of the places, both with the cameras and undercover as 'mystery customers'. Because of the many, many recommendations, and the interest everyone showed, they decided to compile a selection.

The resulting list comes from everyone that send in suggestions, who we can trust to have sniffed out the little gems hidden all over the Midlands.
There will be many more deserving of good customers, but we hope you enjoy this taster.
Overall winner
The top tea room, voted by both viewers and our thirsty team was Betty's Tea Shop at Derwen College in Oswestry in Shropshire.
They won a specially designed teapot made by Bridgewater Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent.
It was recommended by Mrs Carol Lermyte from Whitchurch in Shropshire, who won a tea service also made by Bridgewater Pottery.
Congratulations to all those who work at Betty's Tea Shop and make this a special place.
