The Ally Track is a tool that will help you understand how a person's advantages or disadvantages in life can affect their access to career opportunities. We’ll demonstrate that through allyship, you can create a culture of helping others around you at work.
You will have the option to receive a series of emails that encourage action points which can be easily implemented. These will help you to become more aware of how you can help and support those around you.

Your trust is very important to us. This means the ´óÏó´«Ã½ is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such information. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal information about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law.
Why are we doing this and how can you participant?
We invite you to participate in The Ally Track, a tool that will help you understand how privilege can affect career development and how, through allyship, you can create a culture of helping underrepresented groups at work. Build your own player to explore different types of privilege and factors that can have an impact.
Once completed, you’ll then be asked if you’d like to sign up to receive weekly emails for 4 weeks about certain ally roles. If you sign up, you’ll receive a series of emails with action points that you can implement at work to help and support colleagues and yourself in the workplace.
You can unsubscribe at any stage to The Ally Track emails, through the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the emails you receive.
Please note - The ‘race’ is based on UK ONS data and may not be a true reflection of privilege outside of the UK.
What ´óÏó´«Ã½ will collect and how we will use it?
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will process and collect the personal information that you have provided to us about yourself.
Personal data:
You must be 16 years or older to participate in The Ally Track. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will collect and process the following personal information about you in order to provide you with the series of emails should you sign up to receive them:
- your name
- your email if you sign up, to send weekly emails to you
- Ally role you select to show your interest in reading content about how you can help. We use this information to send you emails related to that role.
- confirmation you’re over 16 years old
Who is the Data Controller?
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ is the “data controller” of your personal information. This means that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ decides what your personal information is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal information will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.
Lawful basis for processing your personal information
The legal basis on which the ´óÏó´«Ã½ processes your personal information is the performance of its public task. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ sends emails The ´óÏó´«Ã½’s role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates and entertains.
Sharing your information
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will share your personal information that you submit through uploader in order to send you the weekly email with its third-party data processor, Maximiser. Maximiser sends out the emails to you on behalf of the ´óÏó´«Ã½. Maximiser have entered into an appropriate contract, which ensures they cannot do anything with your personal information except as we have instructed them to do so.
We use third party companies to help us deliver our services and sometimes we ask them to collect, process and store information about you on our behalf.  These companies only collect, process and store your personal data on behalf of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and not independently of the ´óÏó´«Ã½. 
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will not share your personal data with any other third party without your prior consent unless required or permissible by law.
Retaining your information
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ and Maximiser will retain the personal information you submit through uploader. This information will be stored in servers located in the EEA for 6 weeks in from the date of signing up to receive an email.
Your rights and more information
under data protection law. You can request a copy of the data ´óÏó´«Ã½ stores about you, which includes your ´óÏó´«Ã½ Account data and the data described above.
You have the right to ask for your data we collect to be deleted however there are exceptions to your rights and they may be limited in some situations for example we may refuse this request.

If you have a concern about the way the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has handled your personal information, you can raise your concern with the supervisory authority in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) .
Updating this privacy notice
We will revise the privacy notice if there are significant changes to how we use your personal information.
