Trivia
Flutie's Finale: Ken Lerner makes his final appearance as the touchy-feely Principal Flutie in this episode. Lerner, a prominent character actor in countless films and TV shows, recalled working on his swansong in an interview with The Watchers Web:
"There was a problem with Sarah Michelle Gellar's arms," Ken recalls. "She got a little bit of a rash from handling the pig. I think that may be why he was eaten! He was a ham but he didn't upstage the actors."
Cleopatra's Coming At Ya: Jennifer Sky went from playing Heidi in the pack to starring in her own show, Cleopatra 2525 - the tale of a cryogenically frozen exotic dancer battling robots in the 26th century.
Oops!: Nearly all the supposed video clips of hyenas Willow watches on her computer monitor throughout the episode are actually of African wild dogs.
If you would like to find out more about the myths and folklore surrounding hyenas, then why not try .

Hairy Moments: Isn't it amazing that all it takes to turn cute, loveable Xander into a sinister, scary Xander is a liberal splash of hair gel?
Back to the Razorbacks: The Sunnydale High football team in this episode is referred to as the Razorbacks. The basketball team in The Witch and the swim team in Go Fish are also referred to by the same name. Their mascot, Herbet the pig, is cutely dressed in a mini American footballer's outfit.
"Mulder, it's Me": Quote of the week has to be Buffy's retort when Giles makes excuses for Xander's behaviour: "I can't believe you, of all people, are trying to Scully me."
The quote refers to Gillian Anderson's character in The X Files - also produced by Fox. Scully always tries to find the least outlandish explanation for every phenomenon she encounters.
Things of Bronze: Music for the episode is provided by no less than three bands. All I Want by the Dashboard Prophets, Reluctant Man by Sprung Monkey and Job's Eyes by Farall feature.
The last track accompanies the extremely cool shots of Xander and the rest of the pack roaming the school in slow motion.
