Have a look in your pond at home or school and use the Garden Pond Survey Form to tell us what you find. The results will be compiled and and interpreted by WildDerby.

Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 June, 10am to 3pm
Chaddesden Wood Action Day for Ponds
Join DCPWA, Friends of Chaddesden Wood and WildDerby to help us create woodland ponds and to plant bluebells in Chaddesden Wood, Derby鈥檚 largest ancient woodland, on the edge of Oakwood.
Walk through the wood to find us, following the directions from the three main entrances. Parking is available at Springwood Leisure Centre on Springwood Drive.
During the day, the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, RSPB Derby Local Group, Derwent Green Gym, Parkview Primary School and Oakwood Youth Group will be helping out and 大象传媒 Radio Derby's Aleena Naylor will broadcast from the wood between 10am and 1pm.

Tuesday 2 June, 2pm to 5pm
Open Day at the Newt Pond, da Vinci Community College
Join DCPWA, Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire and WildDerby for a guided walk and pond dip to reveal the wonders of the Da Vinci ponds.
An important wildlife site, learnhow the site was carefully developed and how valuable it is to the college as part of their grounds. Meet at the da Vinci Community College gates.

Wednesday 3 June, 10am to 4pm
Dig a pond in a day on Sinfin Moor
Join DCPWA, BTCV, Friends of Sinfin Moor Park and Nature Reserve and WildDerby for a day of pond creation. Skills in digging and barrowing required.
Meet at the community centre on Sinfin Moor Lane, or walk across to the football pitches to find us.
During the day, members of the Derbyshire Amphibian and Reptile Group will be joining us.

Micklover Meadows - a haven for wildlife
Thursday 4 June, 11am to 2pm
Pond planting at Mickleover Meadows
Join DCPWA, Friends of Mickleover Meadows and WildDerby for a day of planting pond plants to complete our new amphibian pond (excavated earlier in the week).
There will be a chance to discover more about Mickleover Meadows, which is Derby's next Local Nature Reserve.
You can access the site off the Murray Park Community School drive, which is off Earlswood Drive.
During the day, the Derbyshire Local Biodiversity Action Plan Coordinator will be with us to explain the important role of ponds in Derbyshire鈥檚 wildlife.

Friday 5 June, 11am to 12 noon and 6pm to 7pm
Pond Walk
Join the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, DCPWA and WildDerby for a guided walk from Derby Rugby Club's overflow car park, north of Haslam鈥檚 Lane, to see the best ponds in Derby at Derwent Valley Fisheries.
You will see excellent views of the River Derwent during this short walk.

Saturday 6 June, 11am to 2pm
The Mickleover Meadows Pond Picnic
Join the DCPWA, Mickleover Neighbourhood Forum, Friends of Mickleover Meadows, Sustrans Derby Rangers Group and WildDerby for a free family fun day celebrating ponds and wildlife at Mickleover Meadows.
Bring a picnic, take part in the activities and find out about wildlife. Activities include pond dipping, parachute games, flower finding, tree trails, face painting, make a bird feeder, badge making and bug hunting.

Sunday 7 June, 10.30am to 4pm
Day of Pondomania at the Big One on Chaddesden Park
Join DCPWA and Friends of Chaddesden Park for a day of pond dipping.
Derby Pondomania 2008
Discover the creatures which lurk in the new pond and help us celebrate the success of this 大象传媒 Breathing Places Project.
Meet at the pond, in between Chaddesden Brook and the allotment gardens, near to Maine Drive, or look for the DCPWA stall.

During the week, you can call WildDerby on 07900 407020 with your pond related questions.
You can also email your photographs to WildDerby for advice and identification of plants and creatures.
At all events, WildDerby will help you name your pond plants and creatures and answer questions related to ponds, pond wardening and pond creation and management.

If you are pond dipping, please wear waterproof footwear (wellies) otherwise wear suitable clothes and footwear for outdoor activities.
If the event takes place over lunchtime, don鈥檛 forget to bring a packed lunch and a drink. Toilets will be located nearby on all events.
